Para Sample (In character, past tense, third person POV. Must be at least two paragraphs.): Lucius decided he needed to quickly change his clothes before meeting Narcissa. He’d already put on pajamas before agreeing to meet her. No matter that the pajamas were probably nicer than the average student’s clothing, he felt it to be inappropriate to be seen wearing them in a place as public as the Common Room. After dressing, Lucius quickly made his way down the corridor, not wanting to keep Narcissa waiting. He’d meant it when he told her that there were many things about her that he liked, though he had no plan to tell her every minute detail so quickly.

He smirked slightly as he entered the room, admiring the way her pale skin glowed in the light of the fire. “Miss Black,” Lucius nodded, as he slipped onto the sofa next to her. “I hope I’m not interrupting your studies… too much,” he grinned.

Where to begin with Elle Greenwood? She was the youngest of three, born to a pureblood wizard and a muggleborn witch. She often spent most of her life being overshadowed by her two older brothers: Harold and Henry, who were absolutely better than her at everything and anything. Harold was the perfect Ravenclaw, who excelled at everything and anything that had to do with magic. Henry, on the other hand, was born a squib, but made sure to succeed in anything and everything that came his way.

And then there was Elle, who was sorted into Slytherin, instead of Ravenclaw as her brother had been. There was Elle, who received detention for getting caught smoking a cigarette in Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom in her second year. It would have been an understatement to say that Elle was the misfit of the family and didn’t seem to mind it at all.

Elle wasn’t thick—but she was extremely lazy and rarely ever did homework. As dull as Helena made herself seem, she really was brilliant underneath it all. She may come off a little rough around the edges in the beginning—known for being intimidatingly outgoing and blunt—but she can be a real sweetheart, once you get to know her.

She is exceptionally good at potions, but her favorite class is Divination.
Elle isn’t a big fan of Quidditch because of an incident she had on a broomstick, and hates attending the school Quidditch matches as a result.
She is afraid of any and every animal, so as soon as she had the opportunity to drop Care of Magical Creatures, she did so.

“Stupid Professor Flitwick,” Elle grumbled under her breath as she exited Charms. She’d received another detention for not doing her homework—again. “I told him that I understood the stupid work,” said in a sour voice as she sulked through the crowded corridors with her arms folded.

It wasn’t a surprise to her classmates or Professor Flitwick , for that matter, when Elle had told the professor that she hadn’t bothered writing the eighteen-inch essay on the Fidelus Charm. But, apparently, her sixth year was the year that teachers were laying down the law in an attempt to get her to do her homework. But, she simply wouldn’t do it. No matter how many trophies she had to polish, no matter how many toilets she would be forced to scrub—Elle Greenwood would never ever do homework, especially not for a class like Charms.

Though, she would have been let off easy if she hadn’t recited the textbook’s passage on the Fidelus Charm by memory and finished it off by patting the tiny professor atop of the head. That obviously wasn’t too good on her part. To make matters worse, his face had turned crimson due to the aggravation Elle had caused him. It may have been possible she thought it was cute and may have let out a tiny giggle. But, he’d heard it and written her up for detention. “Just my luck.”

Anaximander Tippens was born to Agatha Hollings, a muggle school teacher, and Rolf Tippens in a hospital in Moscow, Russia, but he was raised most of his life in London with his mother while his father, a muggle business man, spent time traveling to different parts of Europe, usually only able to see his family every so often. Anaximander didn’t mind though, he and his Mama had plenty of fun on their own. When he wasn’t being home schooled, he was enjoying time telling jokes and exploring the city. Although, he wasn’t always too happy. He was very strange as a boy, due to his mother’s eccentricity. Often times he would talk about strange things and facts from mythologies of the world, something that his mother always taught him about, so many of his peers would treat him a sort of pariah whenever he would walk around. Still, he wasn’t deterred. He found solace in other things like writing and playing pretend.

Both of his parents were happy when Anaximander received a letter from Hogwarts, both of them wanting him to explore his talents. Now he is a sixth year Ravenclaw, and when he isn’t studying, he is trying his best to make as many friends as possible. Anaximander is happy in his house, he has friends and people who know him. He finally feels that he can be himself. He writes more in his free time, when he isn’t talking to people, some with even stranger parents than his mother. The entire experience is overwhelming for him at times, but he is happy with his life at Hogwarts; it makes the life at him much more bearable. Hogwarts gave him a world he could go to that was not just a fantasy.

Anaximander has a flare for writing, and before wanting to focus more on magic. His favorite thing to write is fantasy based off the gods and goddesses that his mother would teach me him about.
The Sorting Hat did not know whether to sort him into Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, but when Anaximander thought of all the specific reasons why he should be in both, the Sorting Hat put him in Ravenclaw.
Anaximander’s talent lies in Charms and History, because he loves the simple things that some charms can do, and he has always been taught by his mother that history is the most important subject someone should learn.
Sexuality wise, he has never really dated or been attracted to anyone, but he isn’t closed off to the idea. Sexually he find himself attracted to girls, but he could see himself as a homoromantic heterosexual.
He has a cat named Odin, but wishes that he could have gotten an owl.
He loves Norse and Greek Mythology, which his mother had taught him about when he was younger.
His mother and father were very eccentric muggles, which resulted in his strange name.

The ride to school was probably the worst wait that Anaximander had ever dealt with. Far much worse that the rides in his mother’s car whenever they would go traveling around Europe over the summer. Far worse than when they would ride to visit his father in the odd little towns that he would stay outside of the larger cities. He did not know why, but he supposed that t had to do with all the excitement. The excitement of finally going back to his school. The Summer was fine enough, he would spend his time writing and off in his own little worlds, trading jokes with his mother and Odin, his cat, whenever he was avoiding the people in apartment building

“Come on, why does this all have to be so bloody slow?” He breathed to himself, hoping that the trip would finally go by a little faster than it had almost every other year before. His first year, he was not really excited, but he was nervous. He was so nervous. However, as the years went by and he grew more and more used to using magic, those nerves quickly turned into feelings of excitement. Excitement to see his mates again, whom he barely ever got to talk to, due to his writing taking up so much time; as well as excitement to be able to use magic. You really have no idea how much trouble he has simply keeping himself from his wand at home.

Still, he couldn’t let it get him. So he sat. Like he did every other year and he waited. Waited to finally arrive at Hogwarts. To finally get home.

Mr. Palmer is a conflicted man. He had grown up under the strict teachings of the Christian church with his mother’s tutelage. He would probably have happily continued on this path if it weren’t for a letter he received that changed his life forever. As it turns out, his father had come from a respectable wizarding family, a life he left behind for the sake of his mother, but now that he is thrust into this world himself, he sometimes doesn’t know which way to turn. He doesn’t necessarily hate the church, but the world given to him within the walls of the Hogwarts castle is certainly vastly different than he could have ever imagined. Now it is his goal to try to strike a balance between the two worlds he inhabits. It’s not always easy. Noah isn’t necessarily shy, though sometimes isn’t sure how best to respond to something and might get uncomfortable if things conflict with his beliefs, even the ones he’s modified to account for his new experiences.

Miss Solomon is a fiesty Gryffindor but most commonly seen to hang around Hufflepuffs, Millie Henshaw and Carla Williams. While she gets along amiably with most people, put a foot wrong with her and you’re going down. Being best friends with the biggest gossip in school certainly has it’s perks and Rhiannon uses them to her advantage. This girl’s way with words often gets her out of tricky situations and is often the brain behind Millie’s many stories.
